This conceptual master plan is for a site envisioned to revitalize and gentrify the area of W. Meeker St., in conjunction with the City’s streetscape enhancement study between the Interurban Trail and Riverbend Golf Course.   The goal is to create a rich and vibrant, live, work, play environment in this part of the City that could be a catalyst to community revitalization. 

LOCATION

The site consists of several parcels located between SR-167 and the Interurban Trail and between W. Meeker and Willis St.   Vehicular access is proposed at two locations along W. Meeker that create a loop into a walkable mixed-use environment. 

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

At the heart of the master plan is the vision of a full-time farmer’s market concept, giving local farmers and growers daily opportunities to sell products at their permanent space. 

Provide a range of housing opportunities including market-rate apartments, condos and senior housing, all with direct access to open space and commercial amenities at the site. 

Provide a range of commercial opportunities including a 3-5 star mid-rise hotel, the farmer’s market as stated above, ground-floor retail & service uses, office space and vibrant plaza and green spaces throughout. 

Design pleasant, safe and secure plaza and green space environments with easy pedestrian and vehicular routes through the site along active ground floor uses. 

Provide connectivity to the W. Meeker corridor, the Interurban trail and the local neighborhood. 

Capitalize on Mt. Rainier view opportunities and strong freeway exposure.  
Create opportunities for EB-5 funding and investment.
